Over 30 television and radio spots have run on the Caltrans confiscation of the “Save the Delta! Stop the Tunnels!” signs – we have placed a few links below. Beyond that find links for the Sac Bee’s great editorial cartoon on the sign confiscations and a few related newspaper stories and editorials. Due to incoming volumes, we cannot post all media responses presently.

First Amendment Project: Caltrans Broke Law by Confiscating Anti-tunnel Signs
By Dan Bacher in the California Progress Report 7.15.13
In the latest episode in the Brown administration’s “Signgate” scandal, Restore the Delta Thursday released an expert legal opinion finding that the California Department of Transportation’s (Caltrans) confiscation of “Save the Delta! Stop the Tunnels!” signs displayed by Delta land and business owners was done without “any legal basis.”
Stockton Record
Caltrans appears to have backed off its initial effort within the past week of confiscating just about every sign in the Delta region protesting Gov. Jerry Brown’s twin tunnels proposal. Now it is citing an 80-year-old state law prohibiting signs placed within 14 feet of the pavement edge of a state highway. Anything beyond that limit is OK.
