Upcoming February Events for Restore the Delta

Restore the Delta will be at these following public events. We encourage supporters in the area to attend.

Bay Delta Tunnel Project Proposal Forum on February 20, Thursday, in Castro Valley at 6:00 p.m on 3600 Norbridge Avenue.  Speaking in favor of the tunnels will be Paul Helliker, Deputy Director, California Department of Water Resources, Delta and Statewide Water Management, and Jill Duerig, General Manager, Livermore/Amador Valley Zone 7 Water Agency. Speaking against the tunnels will be Barbara Barrigan-Parilla, Executive Director, Restore the Delta, and Nick Di Croce, Co-facilitator, Environmental Water Caucus. Event is free and open to the public, but registration is encouraged. Presented by the League of Women Voters Eden Area, the Sierra Club Bay Chapter Water Committee, and the Castro Valley Library. For more information, click here.

Placer County Public Water Forum on February 22, Saturday, in Rocklin from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m on 5460 5th Street.  Executive director of Restore the Delta, Barbara Barrigan-Parrilla, will be part of a panel that includes opponents and proponents of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan (BDCP). Speakers include UOP Economist Dr. Jeffrey Michael and Deputy Director of CA Department of Water Resources Paul Hellicker, and possibly others.
