STOCKTON, CA – Restore the Delta (RTD), opponents of Gov. Brown’s plan to build massive underground Water Export Tunnels that would drain the Delta and doom salmon and other Pacific fisheries, will hold its General Membership Meeting on Thursday, April 30, to “update our members on the harm from Gov. Brown’s proposed tunnels,” said RTD Executive Director Barbara Barrigan-Parrilla. “The governor is trying to rush through a project that will doom our fisheries, destroy the Delta and ruin our beloved estuary and communities.”
The meeting will also address the attack on Delta water rights being funded by the Metropolitan Water District, the harm from barriers the State intends to install, and offer better solutions to the drought and sustainable water solutions.
