Video Campaign Will Inform & Involve Citizens in Anti-Tunnels Effort
Restore the Delta (RTD), opponents of Gov. Brown’s plan to build Peripheral Tunnels that would drain the Delta and doom salmon and other Pacific fisheries has been awarded a grant to develop, produce and edit six videos by the Metabolic Studio.
Grant funds will be used to support the development, production, and editing of six videos for education and outreach about the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and the Peripheral Tunnels Project. The videos will inform the public as to why the San Francisco-Sacramento Bay-Delta is worthy of restoration and protection.
“Restore the Delta appreciates Metabolic Studio’s support to produce five videos that will tell the stories of the impacts of the proposed Peripheral Tunnels Project and Federal legislation to increase Delta pumping,” said RTD Executive Director Barbara Barrigan-Parrilla. “The grant will also fund a video update of our documentary film ‘Over Troubled Waters.’ We will work with local production company Media Creations to produce the videos. We aim to use the videos to create a groundswell of supporters who will advocate to Federal and State permitting agencies for protecting the estuary and the Bay-Delta water quality standards and for sustainable water projects that will promote regional selfsufficiency for Southern California and Silicon Valley residents.”
