ICYMI: California has zero areas of dryness for 1st time in 25 years

In case you missed it, for the first time since December 2000, not a single square mile of California is classified as dry. After an exceptionally wet holiday season fueled by powerful winter storms and atmospheric rivers, the latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows 0% of the state experiencing drought or abnormal dryness, a remarkable milestone for a state that has been continually defined by water scarcity.

Additionally, the latest data shows that 14 of California’s 17 major water supply reservoirs are at 70% capacity or higher and experts say there’s little concern about the state’s water supply for the rest of the year.
