URGENT ACTION ALERT: Help Stop the Tunnel: Make Your Voice Heard TOMORROW, May 19th!

The State Water Board hearing is tomorrow! This is an important opportunity for anyone who cares about the Bay-Delta, whether through family, community, work, or culture, to make their voice heard.

  • If you plan to provide a public comment in person, please arrive on time at the CalEPA Building, Byron Sher Hearing Room, before 9:00 AM.
  • If you’re providing a public comment online via Zoomwe recommend to sign into your Zoom account early. Also ensure you have a stable internet connection and a working microphone. The Administrative Hearing Officer (AHO) will ask whether you’d like to have your camera on.

Together, we can stand up for a healthy, thriving Bay-Delta, for ourselves and for future generations. The Delta Conveyance Project is one of the largest and most environmentally risky infrastructure proposals in California’s history.

Important Reminder: The Administrative Hearing Officer (AHO) has been contacted about the concerns regarding potential ICE involvement or attendance, and the AHO has responded by removing the requirement for identifying information for in-person and Zoom policy statements (although a valid email address is required for Zoom). There is also an option to have another individual read the policy statement on behalf of the individual. Furthermore, the AHO has noted that written policy statements may also be submitted anonymously.

Still Need Help Crafting Your Comment?Use our Delta Conveyance Project One-Pager and Comment Examples to draft a 5-minute public policy statement (about 450–475 words) explaining how the tunnel would negatively impact your family or community, your business or organization, environmental or economic interests, and how you as a ratepayer may be forced to help fund the project.
