After polling our members and the majority of those answered that they would prefer a virtual event, we feel that this is the best way we can share with you the work that we are doing while keeping our community safe as we navigate another Holiday season.
2022 has been action packed at Restore the Delta. In fact, we feel as if we have completed more than two years of work just this year, and there is plenty more coming our way. Restore the Delta is now majority staffed by young professionals and interns thirty-years-old and under. We have succeeded unlike any other conservation/community organization in ensuring that we are building long term capacity for the next generation to lead on Delta and California water management issues. We are working our succession plan every day, and we are inspired by the intelligence, creativity, care, and sense of humanity exhibited by each member of our staff as they create new community presentations, meet with government officials, engage with community, and participate in related science processes with numerous institutions.
At our benefit, you will hear directly from people we work with on the ground about what is it we are accomplishing at Restore the Delta, what our future goals are, and how we want to bring about improvements for the estuary. We have programs to develop and run, and funding needed for additional staff, so that we can meet our goals and continue working on water quality issues at a deeper level.
