BACKGROUND:
The Environmental Impact Report for the revised Delta Tunnels project (formerly known as the Bay Delta Conservation Plan) may be issued as early as July 10, 2015.
This teleconference will cut through the coming sales pitch for a $60 billion tunnel “fix.” Experts will explore mismanagement of the San Francisco Bay Delta by the State Water Resources Control Board, proposed federal legislation to further weaken Delta protections, and how the peripheral tunnels would destroy the largest estuary on the Pacific Coast of the Americas.
