Restore the Delta Responds to Dismissal of Westland’s Lawsuit
SACRAMENTO, CA – Restore the Delta (RTD), a coalition of farmers, fishermen, environmentalists and business owners dedicated to a fair water policy today responded to the dismissal of Westland’s lawsuit.
“With the dismissal of the lawsuit, no program has been put into place to deal with drainage issues in the Westland’s Water District,” said Barbara Barrigan-Parrilla, Executive Director of Restore the Delta. It makes no sense sending delta water to drainage-impaired lands that help pass toxins and pollutants into the Delta.”
